Not much has been happening in gisborne as usual. Weather is getting better everyday and makes training heaps better. Gisborne track has been as good as always and is always sick to ride.
I also just got back from Stratford at a hockey tournament for school. we won that and i got 6goals in whole tourny. it was a pretty fun time again. And once again im in the paper haha

Ive been in the paper a fair bit now and even made the front page of gisborne herald, which was pretty big because its usually 100 percent rugby rugby rugby.
weathers been pretty good here and just been riding around, need to get park bike. mtb officially has died, i was biking home from school and back wheel fell off probably because wheel is a square now but it was sweeet bike haha.
Gisborne club had its prizegiving and i got best male rider of the year i think. yewww haha

Raced cruisers on Sunday. shit went so sweet, first moto uncliped down the ramp and was in last and then tried to gain back up through the pack and cliped someone and just nailed my knee in exact same spot as last time i crashed. i was preeeety guted about that but put it behind me and got a 2nd and a 1st which just got me through into quarters. In the quarter i had lane 8 and nailed the gate and went from lane 8 to lane 1 and put in a solid lap and one that. I got lane one in semi and slightly tapped the gate and got a huge fright but i still managed to get 2nd. it meant i was in the final. I was STOKED. i was starting to get real pissed over 20inch so it was a real relief. My cruiser final was probably the best lap i had ever done. didnt mess up a thing. lead from start to finish. I just screamed when i passed the line so happy. Sarah and Ken were at the finish line and were like yeeah world champion haha. still buzzing over that day.

My world champs started today. woke up today absoloutley pumped and ready to go. got to track and was harldly nervous at all. first moto though i had no idea what to expect and just went out and did what i knew i could do and got second. was stoked with that and that was with a pretty loose lap. 2nd motto i nailed the gate and me and american guy were banging bars and kept close whole lap. 3rd moto i improved even more and got holeshot and got even bigger lead and took the win. I think i qualified like 2nd for eights and was real confident. got sick gate and was in about 3rd then put on the power and was winning into first corner and was just about to get my pedal going then just slid out. was pretty gutted but even more determined to make the crusier main

Today we doing downhill sprints and then more chilling for the rest of the day so should be good. ive finally sort of got used to ice baths now and dont scream as loud anymore.. haha.
shits starting to get crazy here, police are being fags and fining people for riding with no helmets. Columbians and americans are staying where im staying and is real wierd chilling in lobby with the talking columbian and not knowing what the hell they are talking about

Had the day off today so we all agreed to go to the movies. Saw Ice Age 3 in 3D which was cool. Have never seen a 3D movie before - some people are so clever with technology these days. After the movie, we had an hour to look around the biggest mall in Adelaide before going back to the hotel.

After a bit of chill time, the girls and I went for a ride to the skate park. But there were heaps of people there but the guys turned up not long after us. We ended up riding out to a pump track and trails area in a park which we didn't know of before. A few of the guys had a go on the trails and had a couple of them had some good cases.

From there, we rode back for dinner.

Tomorrow, we head to The Cove BMX track again for another track session. Hopefully the track is even dryer and the wind is nice.

I arived in adelaide about 10 30am, flight started off real bad because i got a blood nose just before we were about to boost off into the sky. blood went everywhere and lasted for like 20mins which sucked. The plane that we went on was pretty empty so i got to move around to other seats which had waay more room.
Im staying with the HP team here which is real cool because its heaps fun and they make sure we are eating and doing everything right until worlds weekend(next friday-sunday).
today we went to a track somewhere in adelaide, something cove haha. it been raining a fair bit here and track handled pretty well, it was a really good track too. finished day off with light ride and an ice bath which sucks so much for the first minute.

Finished the camp now, it was real fun and learned quite a bit and it will definitely help me out for worlds.
we did heaps of stuff and im pretty tired which is good because have to be at my maximum load by the end of the week.
So we went to North Harbours track and already knew that it was going to be wet but we still went and rode. when we got there it was actually alright and got some good riding in. i was going good until i jumped the step up into the 1st corner and hit a huge soft patch and i just went flying off the bike, luckily i landed on my feet on the backside of it and just fell on my knee and hands. things could of gone real bad but it went good.. sort of haha. I have now just got 3 knees and hopefully heals up real fast so can keep up the training hopefully.

Pretty sweet weekend in whangerei. was good to catch up with riders and also got some solid as training in on the track which was needed alot.
So im at high performance camp today and has been a blast so far. we had good gates sesh in the morning then lunch. we then went and listened to nutrishionist which was really interesting and learnt alot. rain kicked in AGAIN so no sprints so just chilled until tea. then went and found some underground carparks to do some sprints... and got kicked out within 10 mins so went roaming for more and found wharehouse carpark which was gooodd. and had a real fun sprint sesh. even security guy was like all pretty chill aboout it.
more intense as training tommorow but real fun because have lots of people around

also a shout out to gabriella. (she puts the G in GANT. hehe)

My worlds lead up pretty much begins tommorow as im going to Auckland for a jds camp at whangerei. Weather better stay fine. then next week there is a hp camp at the millenium center which should be fun. then just chill until sunday when i fly out with famly to aus then meet back up with hp again i think.

The weather has been so so so shit today. rivers were flooded, schools exacuated etc. and real cold. great worlds prep :) haha. just double gym sesions yeew.

i think i better update this as i got back from australia 4 weeks ago ha.
so the results from aus were i won Apro. was not much people there at all. got 110 aus and spent that at the mall on stupid shit. The mighty 11s were beaten by like 3 points AGAIN while leading the whole thing until final race.
we were in aus when the whole swine thing was going down and i had cold coming into nz so i got to stay home for a week. haha was pretty stoked about that.

The weather has been soo bad in gisborne lately, so notmuch track time, just gym and sprints. So next friday my lead up to worlds begins. going to be so much fun and totaly pumped for it. cant wait.

after waing up 2 in the morning we arived at sometime . i still dont know what the time and shit is yet haha.
went riding yesterday but was just casual clubnight.
its real cold and rainy here too. really different to what i had last time with 40 degrees temperatures blue skys. none of that now.
racing and maitland tonight if track can handle and then chilling somewhere until somwhere haha

went up to Cambridge for jds (junior develpment) training camp this weekend, was a pretty good weekend.
Saturday was best weather i had seen in a while and got some good training in. kurt bagby came and showed us how it is-haha. finished the day about 4 and headed off to stay at Kane Barys house. Daniel Franks was staying there too and flew up from christchurch for weekend. We did some riding at his sick as backyard track. i managed to fall off every run i think haha. it was a bit wet and i was getting way to loose. we went to Dave Brownings 50th birthday after that and was chill.
Sunaday pissed down with rain, was still fun riding though. Sarah walker came down/up also to come talk to us about stuff. Ended finishing early at 1 but was alright because had 5hour drive home.

also going to Australia with my sister and Mighty 11s on thursday. really looking forward to racing and just going on aeroplane :) haha, should be a blast though,
il get back to studying for exam. uhhh

flew up to their house on Wednesday and just wanted to get the hell out gisborne and do something different.
went snowboarding which im not the most balanced person and was surprised sort of that i could stand up properly haha.

2009 nats are over and it was a relatively good weekend for me until final time :P
we arrived in whangerei after saturdays racing and got to see the ramp. it was sickkk. i went for a walk up to the top of the ramp and i was actualy scared standing on the top it haha. went for ride and went down and was pretty chill after that.
got the track dialed in by monday thn kicked it the rest of the week
Friday was mighty 11 trials (sister was trialing) and it was good to see they were all hitting up the big jumps and not being scared. There was practises on too but was just really a roll around and gt one gate anyway with the 700 ppl trying to get onto the gate haha. So my sister got the scholarship for the girls to go to aussie in May

Saturday for once i wasnt nervous at all. first up was am session which was cruisers. first race i think i over jumped every jump on the track because im way to loose on cruiser lol. was good first day for cruiser overall.
in 20inch the wind picked up alot which sucked because no hucking staircase on first straight. haha. did alright in 20 but just did what i needed toget to the final

sunday was just 2 rounds thn got to watch all the quarters and semis . it sucked koz we had straight final and i found quarters and semis alot more fun.so FINALS. first one was cruiser final. i was pumped for it i came out first with trent but he got the pull on me with his massive size compared to me lol. ended up second to trent woodcock thn kane
20 ich was next i was even more amped forthat. i had been getting gate so good from lane one all weekend so ichose that lane. but when i got to snap my wheel sliped. i was absoloutley pissed, i hadnt stuffed up a gate all weekend. luckily tho i had lane one which helped me get 3rd place coming out of the 1st corner from last. was a line of us when i caught up on 3rd straight but hit it faster than usual and over jumped the double which totaly took me out of rythm and just hanged on to 3rd. i was pretty dissapointed with my final but tomorow was still another day and i will get another go at it.

now im focusing on worlds and going to get some solid training in for adelaide.

so going to whg ths weekend. im absoloutley amped for it. feel really good at the moment, ive been eating and drinking all the right shit,

just bought some new cupi wheels (yeah crupi wtf) they are the new rythym wheels and having some problems with the new axle shit fitting in with my frame but its all good now,
got new shimano pedals and other little shit
..so nats track is not finished yet, 1 week out, haha. nah its just the ramp that needs the final nonslip wood shit. i have to say that track is looking dam fine, aha

Weekend in whg

The whangarei track is sick. huge gate being made, huge corners, jumps arent that big but is overall a pretty fun track. the ramp is going to be HUGE, they have all of the structure and base up for it. its going to be like a supercross gate. so sick.
2nd straight is table double double and lippy triple. it a real fun straight coming off a hugeee corner, you get heaps of speed, i got that straight down now, i hope lol.
3rd straight is a fun as rythym section. i love rythym sections and this on is so fun, it has so much jumps on that straight and a pro rythym staraight next to it. theres honestly over a million combinations of ways to go through that straight, i love it. last straight is pretty basic stuff just stepup dub table.
overall pretty fun track. havent hit 1st straight yet as ramp is getting built still.
kens camp was pretty good today. some of the elite riders helped out and was there riding the track and getting it all dialed in and showing us what we can actualy do on the track and set the bar.
im just kicking it in grandparents crib who we havent seen in billion years lol. al good

so day 2 was about the same but finding race lines and shit. i was so tired too haha. it was pretty fun weekend .
Got home 12 58 am . haha how fun and then wnt to school .

so it was so hot today, like hottest ive seen in gisborne for a long time and there wasnt a cloud in the sky. but there was a shitload of wind. so as i started of in athletics i honestly didnt consider myself as a 'fast' runner but i acutaly suprised myself by eaasily wining my first 100 metre heat. i was entered in 200 in b grade but there was not alot in champion ship so i thort id jump in that for a laugh, i ended up coming 2nd
we did house stampeed and shit and that was all pretty kb.
so when finals came around i was SO sore lol. like just my toes, it was wierd. i made the b final and easily won that, everyone was stoked as and like screaming koz i was the onlly white kid haha. In 200m CHAMPIONSHIP race final i gt 2nd JUST there were about five of us in the final bit but i forgot to dive and ended up with 2nd, i was still so stoked with that.
i also did house relay and like did the shitest batoon change EVER but we were in last anyway so ALL G. haha
after that i was so sore. my calfs and balls off my feet were dead, honestly haha.
I went to club training but was stuufffed. just did a manual and jump but yeah was just kb.

Rotorua flats meet

so i arived in rotorua about lunchtimish and had a ride, the track had pretty much been a lake the day before so it was pretty good that it had drained out and was all pretty hard.... except for one jump. as i found out the hard way. i hopped off the table onto the rooler and my bike just stopped and got stuck and i went flying and smashed up all my gut and wrist. sort of haha. just winded. after the ambo worker people were cracking the jokes hard lol.
i did 14+ flat superclass and they asked who didnt want to jump pro sec to say so and they were going to make it compulsory but some couldnt jump it and amateur straight was shhorter etc haha. so we had to do amateur in motos and pro in final.. haha wierd.
i made final pretty easy . wasnt expecting much but was in like 4th going into proline and i just absoulty boosted it and flat landed then again for the second one. haha thn im in like last. some how end up 6th . was pretty fun tho . got like 70 dolalrs for 6th so was pretty god money for once, got me food for next week.

arived in aukland friday about 5 in the arvo after leaving at 3 in the morning. fun as haha. rode at the track, it was really fast and hard and was getting everything sussed out.
woke up saturday morning and it had been pissing down and track was like soup, was pretty bad so cancled that day and decided to have it all on sunday.
Sunday was good weather and helped alot with the track and it ended up rolling pretty fast. i felt alright on sunday and made mains. was coming 2nd in first final then went bit high to hit the 2nd straight and everyone justt came under me and lost alll speed haha. 2nd final was pretty solid. and third final got 2nd and finally got a half decent full track run .
overall it was pretty fun weekend and got new redman frame to. yew. il get photo on soon.

fingers fine now i just have half a nail and cant feel top of finger.... cant complain.

Going to north harbour about 4 tomorow morning and just driving a casual 6 hour drive into aukland from gisborne haha. doing senior superclass there so just to see where im at and shit.
got some redline wheels for the weekend as i broke mine in rotorua and pretty much just to fat for them now. so thats whats happening in my life atm.
